Aviran Ben Na'im - Musician  

Born in Haifa-Israel (1976), Aviran is a busy musician: jazz pianist, composer, arranger & for the last years trumpet player. Between 1999-2004 Aviran has studied at the Rubin Music Academy in Jerusalem and graduated his first degree at jazz piano with Nachum Perfekovich & Vachislav (Slava) Ganelin, and his B.Mus degree in jazz composition with Ilan Mochiach.

In 1999 also founded the
Haifa Septet- a jazz combo played Aviran's originals. The group recorded 4 albums and performed at the Red See Jazz Festival 2000 & 2003 (ISR), Jazz Blues & Videotape 2002 (ISR) & the great international Montreux Jazz Festival 2002 (Switzerland).

During his studies in Jerusalem he founded his second large group Ensemble 105- an octet played new materials including two composed stories, originally by the famous Israeli author Etgar Keret, performed by narrator and the group. The ensemble recorded two albums, and performed at local clubs and festivals.

Nowadays, Aviran is taking part in several projects:
Marsh Dondurma an energetic multi-caltural brass band- by playing trumpet and writing. The band played at Guca brass festival 2006 (Serbia), and at Montreal Jazz Festival 2007 (Canada); playing piano in Albert Beger Quartet. The group played at Melbourne Jazz Festival 2007 (Australia); Gotel Botel Group- a theatrical rock band- also playing trumpet; and his own STaGaDaM- an intimate piano trio, playing Aviran's materials from the "Septet" period 'till these days.
